Gangster’s wife held in extortion case
New Delhi: Police arrested three individuals, including a gangster's wife and also apprehended a juvenile, for an extortion case in the Dwarka area, police said on Saturday. The arrested individuals were identified as Vikas alias Vicky, Rohit alias Rocky, Gitika alias Gitu, and a minor, according to police. Gitika is married to gangster Sachin alias Bhanja, who belongs to the Kala-Jhathedi gang.
Deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh stated, "On March 10, four people arrived at a complainant's house in Jharoda Kalan in a car and allegedly threatened them at gunpoint, demanding money on behalf of Sachin."
During the investigation, it was revealed that Vicky, who was on parole, met Sachin in Tihar Jail with Gitika. Sachin reportedly directed him to threaten local property dealers who had ceased paying extortion money. Following the instructions, Vicky procured a vehicle and recruited three associates.
