Manchester City meet Nottingham Forest at Wembley Stadium on Sunday as they look to book their place in the FA Cup final next month
Manchester City could take a step closer to silverware this weekend when they face Nottingham Forest in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
Pep Guardiola's side have found this season difficult and after an early exit in the Champions League as well as dropping off the pace in the Premier League, the FA Cup has presented itself as the final chance for City to end the season with silverware. Standing in their way as Nuno Espirito Santo's Forest who have enjoyed an incredible campaign.
They are currently on track to qualify for next season's Champions League and are looking to win the FA Cup for the third time in their history. The last time they won the tournament was in the 1958/59 season but did finish runners-up to Tottenham Hotspur in the 1990/91 campaign.
City have a more decorated history in the competition having lifted the trophy on seven occasions already, including most recently in 2022/23 when they defeated Manchester United. With the stage set, MEN Sport has taken a look at everything you need to know about this weekend's semi-final.
When is City vs Forest?
City's semi-final will take place on Sunday, April 27 at Wembley Stadium with the kick-off time at 4.30pm.
Who is the referee?
The FA has confirmed that Michael Oliver will be officiating the semi-final. He will be assisted by Stuart Burt and Dan Cook with Sam Barrott playing the role of fourth official.
VAR will be in operation at Wembley on Sunday with Andy Madley leading that operation at Stockley Park. He will be assisted there by Craig Taylor while Jarred Gillet will be on hand as the support VAR.
Will there be extra-time?
If the scores remain level after normal time, extra-time will be played to decide a winner. Should the scores remain level after the additional 30 minutes, the tie will go to penalties.
How can I watch the semi-final?
The semi-final will be broadcast live on ITV1 with Mark Pougatch presenting coverage from Wembley Stadium. He will be joined by Roy Keane, Joleon Lescott and Ian Wright for the game.
Coverage starts at 3.30pm and will be available to be streamed live and for free on ITVX. International broadcasters also have the rights for the match including in the United States where it will be on ESPN+, Canada who are broadcasting on Sportsnet and in the UAE where beIN Sports shall be showing the game.

Which end are City in?
City have been allocated the West End of Wembley Stadium for the semi-final and were sent 36,230 tickets for the match. The Blues' supporters will be housed to the left of the main TV cameras.
What is the prize money?
If City are victorious, they will bank £1m but should they lose, they will receive £500,000.
Who could City play in the final?
If City were to be victorious, they would be playing either Crystal Palace or Aston Villa in the final next month. Before the Blues kick-off at Wembley, they will already know who they shall face in the final as that fixture will take place on Saturday.
When is the FA Cup final?
The FA Cup final will be played on Saturday, May 17. It is unclear when the kick-off time shall be but last season's fixture was at 3pm.
