With Bank Holiday weekend upon us and half term just around the corner, many of us are planning what to plan with the kids, our other halves or friends in the coming days.
Of course, there's plenty to do in the area - a walk along the sea front, a day out to one of the nearby farms, a trip to catch the latest release at the cinema or stopping off for some good old Grimsby fish and chips - but there's quite a few out-of-the-ordinary things to do in Grimsby and Cleethorpes, too.
We've compiled a list of five unique things to do in the area over the Bank Holiday weekend and half term - keep reading below to find out more.
New Artisan Farmers Market

Where: Lower Kingsway, Cleethorpes sea front
What: This new event is suitable for people of all ages and is back for the second time after launching last month. The market features a wholesome line-up of fresh produce, breads, cheeses, cakes, plants and good coffee. Starting at the Mouse and the Moon, it runs down to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre.

Lab Cocoa chocolate-making workshops
When: Wednesday, May 28 to Saturday, May 31 with various slots each day

What: Lab Cocoa is a whimsical, colourful chocolate-making factory that would not look out of place in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. From Wednesday through to Saturday in half term, a series of workshops are taking place for both adults and children, from the Mini Animal Chocolate Workshop (1 hour) to the three-hour Adult Chocolate Workshop. Grim's Great Viking Village
When: Thursday, May 29 to Saturday, May 31 from 12pm to 4pm
Where: St James Room, Grimsby Minster
What: An immersive and seated, family-friendly experience lasting half an hour that transports you to a Viking village. Visitors will have the chance to meet Grim and ask him questions, meet Havelok and help find his Viking treasures, and make the journey to Grim's Viking Village.
Based on an old map, the Viking village re-imagines how our town might have looked in the time of the Vikings and Saxons. The event is suitable for all ages - tickets cost £15 for a family, £5 for concessions and £3.50 for children. To buy yours, click here.

Escapologist escape rooms
When: Open all day Wednesday to Sunday
Where: Escapologist, 459 Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, DN35 8AJ
What: Those with older kids can take part in seven escape rooms at Escapologist on Grimsby Road in Cleethorpes. The Mafia Heist room is based around an old film rental shop, and the story surrounds a mafia group suspected to have committed major crimes. With not enough evidence to nab them, undercover operatives (you!) are sent to a DVD rental shop which is a cover for the organisation.
