On the night of June 7, Ukrainian Air Defense Forces achieved significant success by destroying 87 drones and 7 missiles used by Russian troops to attack Ukrainian territory. This information was released by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, the aggressor launched 215 aerial targets, including 206 strike drones of the Shahed type, as well as various models of drone imitators. Additionally, the launch of 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, 6 Kh-59/69 guided aviation missiles, and 1 Iskander-K cruise missile was recorded.
As of 9 a.m., air defense had destroyed 174 targets: 87 drones were shot down, and another 80 were lost to detection and suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) means. Also destroyed were 6 Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 1 Iskander-K cruise missile.
Enemy missiles hit 10 different locations, while debris from the downed targets fell in 7 locations across Ukraine.
