
State Visit by President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron to Singapore, 29 to 30 May 2025
President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron will make a State Visit to Singapore from 29 to 30 May 2025. The State Visit will commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and France.
President Macron will receive a ceremonial welcome at the Parliament Houseon 30 May, where he will call on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. President Tharman will also host a State Banquet in honour of President Macron and Mrs Brigitte Macron.
Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong will call on President Macron on 30 May 2025. They will also witness the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding that include cooperation on defence and security, legal, AI and transport, amongst others. Prime Minister and Mrs Wong will also host a dinner for President Macron and Mrs Macron on 29 May.
President Macron will deliver the keynote speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue on 30 May.
President Macron will be accompanied by Mrs Macron, Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty Eric Lombard, Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, Minister Delegate for AI and Digital Affairs Clara Chappaz, and senior officials from France.
